Ralph has provided both internal illustrations and elegantly rendered covers for a number of Isaac Asimov's Robot books.

His illustrations have become so synonymous with the series that his style is being emulated to this day.

He managed to achieve an extremely difficult task; that of portraying robots who display a very engineered, functional quality, but at the same time seem to stir with an inner life beyond their chips and metal parts. Not an easy thing to do.

His beautiful cover for Robot Dreams is frequently sited as a fan favorite.

We're often asked if Ralph designed Robin William's robot incarnation in 'The Bicentennial Man' - the answer is no, but he was clearly an enormous inspiration.
